Guten tag all! Well I'm back from Berlin. What a fantastic conference especially the tea breaks - first it was just biscuits, then pastries, then cake and then cake with streudels. The dinner was a buffet and I went back for several helpings of dessert - finally discovering the secret to putting on weight.
On the way out sat opposite Stephen Fry in the airport lounge and on the way back got upgraded to business class. I can die happy now. You have no idea the unsuccessful lengths I've gone to in order to be upgraded yet here a machine does it as a result of checking in using my credit card. Fan-bloody-tastic!
It was good for my project to network with the right people at the right time getting valuable input. The games we played in the piano bar were good for networking too - and at last as a SATC fan I tasted the official drink of the goddesses - the Cosmopolitan!
Hmmm - what else can I tell you? There's a lot of bears in Berlin. Unfortunately we only had time for a bus tour.
Been a roller coaster week but I have dealt with my demons and now feel very positive - even about the op this Wednesday. Who knows? - I could be coming back to a new job.
