I'm off to Berlin today with work. Apart from that I'm getting down about amount to do at work, up about buying a pad by the sea, choosing colours for the walls, admiring the colouration of my bruises from last op, being happy about the people in my life, trying not to crap myself about next operation, enjoying the sun when it comes out (gone for today by the looks of it), dreaming about having a significant other (it happens sometimes, especially when I need someone to zip up the back of a dress), trying to tackle the billion and one things I want to do, reading the 'Art of Travel' in moments of luxury - from it I particularly liked Chamfort's dictum that a man must swallow a toad every morning so as not to meet with anything more revolting in the day ahead.
Yesterday was very busy as the baby shower I organised for a friend came to fruition complete with Mad Hatter Tea Party theme, fun and games all afternoon. It was a lot of work and if anyone else thinks they're having a baby, you can forget it.
